What is a Ph.D. in Psychology?

The Doctor of Philosophy degree, Ph.D., is the highest degree awarded by a university and is granted only upon sufficient evidence of scholarship. A Doctor of Philosophy in Humanistic Psychology is trained to do research, and to work therapeutically to modify behavior and mental processes. The emphasis is on the "Whole Person Approach." When the whole person functions together harmoniously the complete individual performs best. A humanistic therapist aims to help patients achieve their fullest potential by removing blocks for growth in order to enjoy a higher quality of life.

What have people said about IPT handbook It's Yours for the Asking?

"Oscar Bekoff is one of the most fascinating people I have met in my twenty years as a counselor. One comes away from a meeting with him feeling excited and enthused about life. Now those who read his book will have the same opportunity to be moved towards a more constructive lifestyle. By combining his own experiences and the insights of other students of the human condition, he has written a book that will be of great appeal to anyone who is tired of going through life in the role of a victim."
